FAQS

What are the benefits of probiotics?

Probiotics support gut health, often referred to as the "second brain," with essential functions such as:

  • Aiding serotonin production
  • Promoting better digestion
  • Supporting a healthy gut-brain connection
  • Encouraging regularity
  • Enhancing immunity

A study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that daily supplementation with Lactobacillus plantarum for six weeks significantly reduced markers of oxidative stress (by 37%) and inflammation (by 42%) in healthy individuals.

Are there ingredients I should look for in multivitamins for men and women?

Beyond the expected ingredients, look for options that include necessary ingredients such as Methylfolate, Methylcobalamin (or vitamin B12), iron, vitamin D, probiotics, Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate (or vitamin B6), and Omega-3. To make the best vitamins for men and women, we’ve included all of the above key nutrients.

Why is it important for adults to take vitamin D?

Everyone requires vitamin D to support brain health and immune system health, to aid in absorbing calcium to build healthy bones, to support your mood, and to help build nerve cells. While the body can make vitamin D, an estimated 50% of the worldwide population is deficient.

Are there specific nutrients I need as a 50+ woman?

Yes, as your body changes during the second half of your life, your supplement needs change as well. As a woman who is 50+, look for supplements including methylcobalamin or vitamin B12, selenium, EPA and DHA, vitamin D, and probiotics. Our daily multivitamins for adults support brain health, energy, focus, and mood.

Is your Women's Multi+ or any of your daily multivitamins for adults kosher or halal?

While not certified kosher or halal, all of our supplements are non-GMO and free of dairy, soy, and gluten. Women's Multi+ is vegan and 100% natural.

What amount of probiotics are in Best Nest Women's Multi+?

Our Daily Bird Women's Multi+ contains 5mg of Lactobacillus Acidophilus, providing effective probiotics for gut health in a single daily serving.

Why does the Best Nest Men's Multi+ not contain iron?

For most men, the iron obtained through food is sufficient since men don’t regularly lose iron through bleeding.

Why are the probiotics not working?

For some, it may take 2 capsules a day for a few days to see significant changes, such as increased eliminations or occasional gas. These effects typically subside, and most customers can return to 1 capsule daily.

When is the best time to take my probiotics?

The best time to take probiotics is 30-45 minutes before eating a meal or at night about 2 hours after eating your last meal. Taking your probiotics on an empty stomach with a glass of filtered water ensures maximum absorption, to support a healthy gut, your gut-brain axis, and to promote immune support.

Should I Take Mama Bird Probiotics with my prenatal vitamins since it already contains probiotics?

Our Mama Bird Prenatal Multi+ contains 50 mg of Lactobacillus acidophilus. The Mama Bird Probiotics provide 50 billion organisms per capsule, offering multi-strain benefits for pregnancy, lactation, and immunity.

Why am I experiencing gas, bloating, heartburn, constipation, or diarrhea when taking probiotics?

Some individuals experience temporary effects like gas or bloating when first taking probiotics. These side effects generally subside after a few weeks of continued use. We recommend starting with a low dose of probiotics and gradually increasing it.

What's the benefit of Omega-3 triglycerides?

Omega-3s are essential nutrients for health and development. They improve cellular function and can boost mood. Incorporating Omega-3 supplements

What is the difference between your Omega-3 Softgel formula and Mama Bird Prenatal DHA?
